This if for you Megs!

Because the speed of life is overwhelming at times, we had decided to close our blog at the end of 2012. I just wasn't keeping up! But as we prepared to send Meghan away to school, we realized this was a great way for her to see pictures and catch a glimpse of everyday life. Even though we talk frequently, there is just much that she doesn't see. So, for now I will try to chronicle our memories even a little more consistently than before!

A few weeks ago, we packed up two boys and sent them to Canada with their Scout troop where they camped for a weekend. YES, I did say camp --- and it did mean sleeping in tents, doing everything outside for a whole weekend! CRAZY is my interpretation of a trip like this, but what do I know? I am not a Boy Scout! We only had two boys who wanted to go, but unfortunately this trip fell just when we were all getting the 'plague' and our oldest scout (who desperately had anticipated this trip) was unable to go. His younger brother took his place and we sent them off! As it would happend, both boys ended up getting sick on the trip and really didn't end up enjoying much of anything that weekend. It was really quite a bummer! (although I do see a few smiles in the pictures!)

There was the opportunity for great sledding, snow building contests, a hockey game, and Canadian Bowling -- some of which they participated in and some which they didn't. But they did come back home safe and sound, and are finally now healthy!
