We love spring, and even though it feels like summer (85 degrees), we couldn't wait to get outside this weekend! To kick off the weekend, we moved "Family Night" outside. I so enjoy seeing my kids enjoying each other, laughing with us, and playing together! One of the things we love to do is enjoy a bonfire and make smores - mmm-mmm delicious! Rob took some time to talk with the kids about perseverance (our character quality of the month). He then brought the point home by challenging them to use their toes to find marbles in a bowl of ice. The winner of course ended up with a small prize. The biggest motivator however didn't prove to be the prize, but not wanting to be outdone by a sibling. So we had 4 winners! Perhaps we need to work on another quality trait! But more the point is to build reminders of traits into them, and I am sure they won't forget those cold toes for awhile and what they represented!
We jumped on the trampoline. We played, and then M & N decided it was such a great night out that they would sleep in the tent too.

Sounds like a fun time. Fun, but at the same time probably makes you realize that you are missing two. I think about that more and more as we come up on our dossier in country two years and are waiting on second legal and not in MOI yet.
